Police identify man killed in 'brazen' shooting in Toronto's west end

Toronto police have identified the victim of a "brazen" shooting in the city's west end on Tuesday morning.

The victim has been identified as Ikeba Fraser, 30, of Toronto

Toronto police have identified the victim of a "brazen" shooting in the city's west end on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a call for a shooting near Davenport Road and Osler Street just after 5 a.m. on Tuesday. 

When they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds.

Officers performed life-saving measures on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a news release Wednesday. 

The man has been identified as Ikeba Fraser, 30, of Toronto.

Acting Insp. Phil Sinclair said Tuesday that the shooting appeared to be targeted and described the incident as a "brazen event."

There is no suspect information at this time.
