The TTC confirms it is investigating a video posted online that appears to show one of its buses running a red light in Scarborough.
Brad Ross, the TTC's executive director of corporate communications, told CBC News in an email that the organization "will take steps to identify the operator of this bus and interview him or her."
The video was posted to YouTube over the weekend.
It appears to show a bus entering and then passing through an intersection, while a vehicle alongside it comes to a stop for a red light.
The text accompanying the video posting indicates that the video was recorded at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Warden Avenue.
Some text that is superimposed on top of the video indicates that it was recorded on Saturday afternoon.
Ross said all TTC drivers are expected to obey the rules of the road, whether they are driving a bus or a service vehicle.
"The vast majority of our operators are professional and safe in all that they do, so when incidents like these come to our attention, we take them very seriously," Ross said
A handful of similar videos have popped up online this year, showing TTC buses running red lights. In at least one case, the driver was let go over a recorded incident.
