Hudson's Bay, Canada's oldest retailer dating back to 1670, has filed for creditor protection and intends to restructure. The department store says it has been facing significant pressures including subdued consumer spending, U.S.-Canada trade tensions and post-pandemic declines in downtown store traffic.
