Neither India nor Pakistan can afford an escalation, UVic political scientist says
Reeta Tremblay, professor emerita of political science at the University of Victoria, says she is hopeful recent developments in the India-Pakistan conflict could lead to a de-escalation of the conflict. She told BC Today host Michelle Eliot that the need for both countries to prioritize their economic challenges and pressure from the international community to show restraint might help prevent an escalation in hostilities.
