Laurier grad is hoping her story will shine a light on education for girls in Afghanistan
Hundreds of university graduates will be crossing the convocation stage this month in Waterloo, but not all of them will have gone through the same struggles as Hasina Hamidi. She came to Wilfrid Laurier University from Afghanistan as part of the International Students Overcoming War program. Hamidi will receive her Master’s degree in International Public Policy. She spoke to CBC K-W's Aastha Shetty about her experience.
