SmartFlower offers P.E.I. students real-life lessons in solar power, right outside their classrooms
A 5-metre-tall flower covered in solar panels has been attracting a lot of attention in front of Colonel Gray High School. The SmartFlower generates enough electricity to power two classrooms at the Charlottetown school. And starting this fall, it's going to be generating lots of conversations in the classroom as well. CBC's Nancy Russell reports.
