Flying ants are once again out in droves throughout B.C.'s Lower Mainland. The sudden increase may seem strange to residents, but UBC zoology professor Judith Myers says it’s all business as usual for the ants — it’s part of their annual reproductive phase where they exit their nests and fly around.
