Kitchener bike rescue group helping people 'arrive happy' on 2 wheels
Kitchener's Red Raccoon Bike Rescue recently received a $260,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. With the funds, they’re hoping to train more volunteers to do free bike repairs and teach people how to fix their own bikes. "You can get anywhere in Kitchener-Waterloo on a bicycle and you arrive happy," said David Ziegler, founder and volunteer at Red Raccoon. He spoke to CBC-KW’s John Dalusong during the grant recognition event in Victoria Park on Saturday.
