13-year-old cyclist taken to hospital after being struck by car in Kitchener
A 13-year-old cyclist has been taken to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Thursday night after being hit by a car in Kitchener. Police are investigating.
Collision was at intersection of Westmount Road E. and Ottawa Street S.
A 13-year-old is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car Thursday night in Kitchener.
Police were called to the intersection of Westmount Road E. and Ottawa Street S. just before 10 p.m. for reports a Toyota Corolla had hit a cyclist.
The teen was transported to a hospital outside the region with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 23-year-old man from Kitchener, was unharmed.
As part of the investigation, police closed the intersection for several hours.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
