B.C. reinstates coverage of $1M drug for girl with rare condition
Ten-year-old Charleigh Pollock has Batten Disease and has been taking Brinura since 2019. A committee recommended funding be stopped earlier this year, because the drug was no longer effective. Now things have changed again with the input of international experts. Lori Brown with the Batten Disease Support and Research Association co-signed a letter from international experts calling on the premier and health minister to reverse the decision.
