Residents are worried that if something isn't done soon, the animal will explode because of the gases accumulating in its body.
This would really have a negative impact on our tourism.

Trout River is still a working fishing village, but relies heavily on tourists drawn to the beauty of Newfoundland's west coast. It was awarded the Tidy Town award in 2010 and 2013 by Newfoundland and Labrador's department of municipal affairs.

Local resident Doris Sheppard owns Sheppard's Bed & Breakfast. She tells Carol the town needs help to dispose of the whale carcass.

Hear how Ms. Sheppard believes the unsavoury sight will hurt the town's economy and endanger public health.
