Justin shows his youth initiative
Justin Trudeau pulled down his headphones and, as Whitney Houston leaked from his ear buds said, "I believe the children are our future." Well, in truth, we cannot confirm that Trudeau's decisions are based entirely on 80's R&B, but we do know that he launched a new Youth Council this week. Anyone between the ages of 16-24 can apply.
But can the under-25 crowd really solve our national problems? It's a question Host Gavin Crawford put to panelists on Canada's favourite news quiz, Because News.
"So what, they're going to advise on what kind of jobs they would like?" asked CBC broadcaster Tom Howell after learning that youth employment is one of items on the agenda.
"There's gonna be a lot of, 'we want to be a rock star. Wanna be a horse trainer,'" quipped comedian and panelist Aisha Alfa.
"We need more jobs in famous," Crawford concluded to the agreement of all.
Things get really good when our panelists reminisce about what they longed for when they were young.
