Jian's back with an all new season of Q! Find out  what to look forward to this fall, and what we have in store for you today:
  • Friday Live: Rich Aucoin doesn't put on a "normal" concert. His performances are full on feel-good events full of confetti, crowd interaction and even a giant parachute. With that in mind, Rich Aucoin is set to release the most important record of his career. Ephemeral manages to bridge the gap from his memorable live shows to his recorded catalogue. He performs throughout the show as our Friday Live guest.

  • Instead of texting your friend the old-fashioned way, Miranda July invites you to use the Somebody App to redirect your message to a nearby Somebody user, who then delivers your message in person -- even adding personal actions to your text like crying, a scream or a kiss. The artist says she's more interested in creating an experience than a new form of communication.

  • More from TIFF: Anna Kendrick, star of the surprise hit Pitch Perfect returns to musicals with "The Last Five Years", which tells the story of a struggling actress and a rising novelist who fall in and out of love.

  • More from TIFF: Quebec director Philippe Falardeau, whose previous film Monsieur Lazhar was nominated for an Oscar, makes his English language debut with The Good Lie, starring Reese Witherspoon, and telling the stories of the so-called "Lost Boys" of Sudan.
