Lesbian deaths on TV: 'They're dropping like flies'
Saving Hope's Noelle Carbone and Gina Tass of the Trevor Project discuss "dead lesbian syndrome" and their crusade to get better LGBT representation on TV.
Lexa from The 100, Denise from The Walking Dead, Camilla and Mimi on Empire. In 2016 alone, at least 10 characters identifying as lesbian or bisexual have been killed off on TV.
Shad is joined by Saving Hope's Noelle Carbone and Gina Tass, creator of the LGBTQ fundraiser for The Trevor Project, to discuss "dead lesbian syndrome" and the support and criticism surrounding their new initiative The Lexa Pledge.
The project, which aims to improve lesbian and bisexual representation on TV, is named after The 100's beloved lesbian character Lexa, who was recently killed off.
