A family from Langford, B.C., hoping to extend the life of their little girl who has a rare disease, has been rejected again for coverage of medication that costs about $1 million a year. A statement from Health Minister Josie Osborne says that the medication is no longer helping slow the progress of the girl's disease.

Unifor says the B.C. Labour Relations Board has awarded union certification to workers at an Amazon facility in Delta, B.C. The workers will now begin the process of negotiating a first contract, the union says. Unifor national president Lana Payne says the workers organized against difficult odds.

Text message scams appear to be on the rise, according to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. And as they get more sophisticated, experts say they're becoming harder to catch.
