Man in serious condition after Halloween stabbing in Delta

Delta police are investigating a stabbing incident that sent a man to hospital on Saturday night.

Police in Delta are investigating a stabbing that sent a man to hospital on Saturday night.

It happened a little before midnight on Arpe Road, near Main Street.

A Halloween party spilled onto the street, where an altercation led to the stabbing, said police.

Paramedics took the victim to Royal Columbian Hospital in serious but stable condition, according to the B.C. Ambulance Service.

The Delta police K-9 unit and forensics investigators could be seen scouring the crime scene early Sunday morning.

Police haven't said what might have sparked the violent altercation, only that it was a chaotic, rainy scene when officers arrived.

Police took one suspect into custody.
