Motorcyclist dies after collision with pickup truck in Abbotsford, B.C.

A motorcyclist has died after crashing into a pickup truck on Old Yale Road in Abbotsford, B.C., late Saturday morning.

A motorcyclist died after crashing into a pickup truck on Old Yale Road in Abbotsford, B.C., late Saturday morning.

It happened just before 12:00 p.m. PT in near Old Yale Road and Essendene Avenue.

Const. Ian MacDonald said it appears the male motorcyclist crossed the centre line into the path of the truck near the intersection at Clearbrook Road. 

The man was taken to hospital with "very serious injuries," MacDonald said in a release, but he died of his injuries soon after arriving at the hospital. 

MacDonald said the man and woman in the pickup truck were shaken up, but not injured.
