Man killed after shooting outside Mandarin restaurant in Burlington, Ont., Halton police say

A man was pronounced dead in hospital after being shot outside the Mandarin Restaurant in Burlington, Ont., police say.

Halton police said Wednesday they had not made any arrests

A man is dead following a shooting outside a Burlington, Ont., restaurant Tuesday night, police say.

Around 8:30 p.m., Halton Regional Police Service officers arrived at the parking lot of the Mandarin Restaurant near Fairview and Brant streets, the police said in a news release Wednesday. 

A man had been shot and first responders took him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

"Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and there is no known risk to public safety," they said, adding police have not made any arrests and do not have any suspect description. 

Police ask anyone with dashcam footage of the area between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. to contact police.
