Homeowners on a residential street in an southeast London subdivision are being asked to check their security camera footage to help police with an early morning shooting investigation.

London police said they received a call at approximately 2:25 a.m. Friday about gun shots in the area of Emerald and Chelton Roads, south of Commissioners Road.

When they investigated, they found several bullets had struck a vehicle and a garage door on Emerald Road. They said they believe the shooting was targetted.

No one was injured, but police said the incident will still be upsetting to the community.

"Community safety is a shared responsibility. We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity promptly," police wrote in a statement.

They're asking anyone with information, or who may have dash-cam, residential or business surveillance video to contact them.
