Woodstock man killed in Oxford County crash

An 81-year-old Woodstock resident is dead after a two vehicle crash that happened Saturday night in Oxford County, east of London.

The crash involved a passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle

An 81-year-old Woodstock resident is dead after a two vehicle crash that happened Saturday night near Woodstock, east of London. 

At around 11:50 p.m., emergency crews were called to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, near Mill Street. The investigation indicated a passenger vehicle was travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway, said provincial police in Oxford County. 

The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the commercial vehicle had no reported injuries. 

Two lanes of the highway were closed for the investigation but have since reopened.
