Handcuffed, shirtless escapee back in custody after fleeing from Manitoba hospital
Byron Roulette, 26, fled police while awaiting treatment at Portage la Prairie hospital

A man who escaped police custody in a southern Manitoba city's hospital almost two weeks ago has been caught.
Byron Roulette, 26, was handcuffed and believed to be shirtless, wearing grey-brown shorts with blood stains on his shoes, when he fled police in Portage la Prairie on July 24, the RCMP previously said.
In an update Wednesday, the Manitoba First Nations Police Service said tips from Sandy Bay First Nation community members helped them find and arrest Roulette.
Roulette was initially arrested by the MFNPS shortly before his escape, after officers were called about a break and enter involving a firearm in Sandy Bay First Nation, the service previously said.
Officers found that a man had been assaulted by two other men, who then stole a truck from the house, police said. One of the assailants had a firearm.
Roulette was suffering from self-inflicted wounds when police found and arrested him, police said. He was taken to the hospital in Portage la Prairie. Police said he fled as he waited for treatment.
Roulette is facing numerous charges, including robbery with a firearm and assault causing bodily harm, police said.
