Missing 66-year-old woman found safe after Silver Alert issued: Winnipeg police

A 66-year-old woman who was reported missing on Friday has been found safe, Winnipeg police say.

Police issued a Silver Alert for the woman around 4:10 p.m. on Friday and said she was last seen near Portage Avenue and Sherbrook Street. 

An updated alert was sent out later that evening saying the woman was found safe. 

No information was provided on when or where she was located.

A previous version of this story included the woman's name and photograph. Those have since been removed to protect her privacy now that she is no longer missing.
