Earlier that evening, a motorcyclist was airlifted after a collision near the westbound Perimeter Highway and Pembina Highway.

Police said the single-vehicle crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. A man in his early 20 was airlifted to hospital in critical condition. A news release issued Friday around noon said he remained unstable with serious injuries.

The investigations into both crashes are still ongoing. Winnipeg police said they don't expect charges on the Osborne Street crash.
