3 people hospitalized in multi-vehicle crash in Winnipeg's West End

Three people were taken to hospital after multiple vehicles collided in Winnipeg's West End Monday.  

Police say 5 or 6 vehicles involved in the collision

Three people were taken to hospital after multiple vehicles collided in Winnipeg's West End Monday.

Officers were called to Ellice Avenue and Banning Street just after 9 a.m.

A Winnipeg Police Service spokesperson told CBC News five or six vehicles were involved in a crash. 

The city said in an email Monday evening that two people were transported to hospital in unstable condition, and another person was taken in stable condition.

Officials say several others were assessed by paramedics at the scene, but didn't need to be hospitalized.
