15-year-old girl missing since weekend found safe: Thompson RCMP
A 15-year-old Thompson girl who was reported missing on Saturday has been found, police said on Wednesday.
Police said the girl was reported missing Saturday, briefly returned Sunday before going missing again
A 15-year-old Thompson girl who was reported missing over the weekend has been found, police said on Wednesday.
The girl had been reported missing on Saturday night, said the RCMP in Thompson, which is about 760 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
On Sunday, the girl briefly returned home and had not been seen since then, leaving her family concerned about her well-being, the police said in an initial news release on Wednesday.
The police subsequently issued a second release on Wednesday stating that she had been found and thanking the public for their help.
CBC News has removed the girl's name and image because she has been safely located.
