1 person jumps from building, another left dangling from window after fire at Winnipeg apartment block
3 taken to hospital after blaze at 3-storey apartment building on Gaylene Place early Saturday

Two people were taken to hospital in critical condition and another in stable condition after a Saturday morning fire that forced one person to jump from a south Winnipeg building, while another was left dangling from a window.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews were called around 1:30 a.m. about a fire that trapped residents inside a three-storey apartment building on Gaylene Place, south of Abinojii Mikanah and west of Pembina Highway.
By the time firefighters arrived, one resident had already jumped from a window of the suite where the fire had started, the city said in a news release.
Using a ladder, crews rescued another person who was dangling from a window. People in other suites were able to get out safely, and a Winnipeg Transit bus was on scene to give them shelter, the city said.
Firefighters tackled the fire from inside the building and had it under control just after 2:10 a.m.
In addition to the three people taken to hospital, another person was assessed at the scene but didn't require further medical attention.
The city said the fire is still under investigation.
