Winnipeg police charge 2 women in Johnny G’s killing
List of charged grows in February shooting death of William Edward Moar
The list of people facing charges following a fatal shooting at Johnny G’s in February is growing.
Two women have now been charged in connection with the shooting death of William Edward Moar.
The 24-year-old was shot and killed at Johnny G’s restaurant on Winnipeg’s Main Street on Feb. 15.
Shortly after that, Morgan Van Bone, 19, was also charged with first degree murder in the case and a Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for him.
Bone was eventually arrested on May 9 in Winnipeg.
Now, police have charged two more people in connection with the incident.
Police said Bone was able to evade arrest by being allowed to hide at a residence in the northwest area of the city.
Now, Laura Asham, 20, and Danielle Raven, 20, are both facing charges of accessory after the fact — murder.
Asham and Raven remain in police custody.
