Man faces sexual touching, child pornography charges after search at Armed Forces base in Winnipeg
Suspect, who is not a civilian, allegedly photographed an undressed child and shared images online

A 31-year-old man has been charged with invitation to sexual touching and child pornography crimes after a search at the Royal Canadian Air Force base in Winnipeg.
In February, Winnipeg police started investigating child pornography that had been shared on the internet.
They identified an internet subscriber as a suspect, and on Wednesday, Winnipeg and military police did a search at 17 Wing Winnipeg, a Royal Canadian Air Force base.
A 31-year-old man was arrested and several electronic devices were seized, police said in a news release Thursday.
Police told CBC News the man is not a civilian.
He is accused of photographing an undressed child he knew and uploading the images to social media between May 2018 and April 2019.
On Wednesday, police learned the identity of the child, who the man allegedly persuaded to engage in sexual activity in 2020.
The man, whom police are not naming to protect the identity of the survivor, is charged with invitation to sexual touching, making child pornography for the purpose of publication, distributing child pornography, possessing child pornography and accessing child pornography.
The 31-year-old man was released with the condition he not accessing the internet or anyone under the age of 18.
