Provincial police called to the water when the man did not resurface

A 79-year-old man died after he fell from his kayak on Long Lake in Bolton-Est, located in Quebec's Eastern Townships.
According to provincial police, emergency services were called to the water near Kates Road at around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, when the man was not seen again after capsizing.
A search of the shoreline and the water was carried out to locate the victim, explained Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Sgt. Frédéric Deshaies.
Provincial police divers finally located the man's body on Sunday morning in the area where he fell.
