One dead after February crash on Trans-Labrador Highway

A 60-year-old woman is dead after a crash on the Trans-Labrador Highway in February. Police are still investigating.

A 60-year-old woman is dead after a crash on the Trans-Labrador Highway in February.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said Tuesday the woman while in hospital in Quebec City, and the crash investigation continues as a fatal. The RNC initially said the woman was 61.

Police say emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on the highway between Labrador City and Quebec just before 7 a.m. on Feb. 22.

The woman, who was from Quebec, was airlifted from Labrador City.

The RNC is asking the public for information or video footage from the area of the highway before 7 a.m. on the day of the crash.

  • A previous version of this story reported the woman was 61 years old. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary later updated the information to say the woman was 60.
