3 charged, including Alberta youth, after RCMP raid Kátł'odeeche First Nation home
Police located drugs and firearms at the home after being called to it last week

Three people — including a 17-year-old from Alberta — are facing charges after police were called to a home in Kátł'odeeche First Nation in the N.W.T. last week where they found crack cocaine and firearms, according to RCMP.
Police say they were called to a home around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday to keep the peace. They arrested an individual with suspected crack cocaine, they said, and also found an unsecured firearm.
Police said they also arrested two other people in the home.
After obtaining a search warrant, police said they raided the home and found 60 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a long gun and a pistol.
Police have charged a 17-year-old from Alberta with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking along with three firearm-related offences. A 43-year-old and a 33-year-old from Kátł'odeeche First Nation are also charged with three firearm-related offences.
The 33-year-old had been out on bail, said police, and was also charged with failing to comply with the conditions of that release.
The 43-year-old is scheduled to appear in court in Hay River, while the other two individuals have been remanded into custody.
