Police in Fort Smith, N.W.T. have charged two Alberta men with drug trafficking after searching a home in the community on Thursday.

In a Friday news release, N.W.T. RCMP said the men, ages 18 and 19, were charged after police executed a search warrant in an abandoned housing unit where they had been tipped off that drugs were being sold.

Police said that they found 311 grams of "suspected cocaine" in the residence, along with $360 and "other drug paraphernalia."

Both of the men who were charged have been released on the condition that they remain outside of the Northwest Territories except for court dates.

The two men are set to appear before a justice of the peace in Fort Smith on June 11.
