Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a 20-year-old man who was badly injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash northwest of Kingston last week has died.

In a news release Wednesday, OPP said officers from the Frontenac County detachment and county paramedics responded to the crash on McLean Road in South Frontenac shortly after 8 p.m. Friday.

Two ATVs had collided, police said, and witnesses gave first aid to a badly injured driver until first responders arrived.

That 20-year-old from Parham, Ont., was rushed to hospital and died Tuesday, according to police. They did not release his name.

Police said the investigation continues. The other driver involved scored within the warning range of an alcohol screening device at the scene and had their licence suspended for three days, OPP said.

The scene is about 25 kilometres northwest of Kingston and about 140 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa.

The victim's community of Parham is south of Sharbot Lake.
