Search underway for man who fell into Mississippi River
Underwater search-and-recovery team was called in Sunday morning

Ontario Provincial Police officers searched overnight but were unable to find a man who fell off his boat into the Mississippi River Saturday evening near Appleton, Ont.
Police got the call that the man had fallen into the river around 9 p.m. on Saturday, a spokesperson told CBC.
Officers searched through the night and then used a drone Sunday morning, police said. They were unable to find the man but did locate some of his belongings along the shoreline.
When the local officers' ability to keep searching was exhausted, an underwater search-and-recovery team was called in sometime Sunday morning, OPP said.
The situation is now being considered a recovery mission, OPP said, meaning they believe the man is likely dead.
As of 12:30 p.m. on Sunday the team had not arrived at the scene yet and police could not say when they would arrive.
