Drake is postponing shows in his ongoing Summer Sixteen tour — including one in Toronto — following a recent ankle injury and fans are now mixing vodka and emotions (OK, they're disappointed).

Sunday night's show in Toronto has been postponed, Live Nation confirmed to CBC News, but the Saturday night show will go on as scheduled.

A new date for Sunday's show is yet to be announced. Ticketholders will receive an email with information on next steps and refunds, Live Nation said.

"I am crushed to even be typing this announcement because I feel like I am letting my fans in these cities down," the rapper wrote on his label's blog.

Drake said affected cities include his hometown of Toronto, as well as Philadelphia. He will perform one of two scheduled shows in Newark.

"I hate to be told I can't do something," he wrote. "But under doctor's orders to allow me to recuperate, I am being forced to postpone the intense three shows in a row, in cities which have only ever shown me unconditional support."

"We are over 50 shows in and I have done everything to power through my recent ankle injury and leave it all out there on the stage every night." But frankly, a sprained ankle ain't nothing to play with.

"I only want to give you the best show you deserve. I promise I will make it up to you," Drake wrote.
