Man suffers life-threatening injuries after being struck by gas pump hose in Etobicoke
A man, 26, who was allegedly driving with the gas nozzle still in his car now faces 2 charges: police

Toronto police say a 63-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a gas pump hose as another man started driving away with the nozzle still attached to his car.
Police say officers were called to a gas station in Etobicoke around 5:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a collision.
They say a 26-year-old man was leaving the gas station with the nozzle still attached to his car.
Police say the hose was then pulled off the gas pump, striking the 63-year-old and causing him to fall.
The 26-year-old returned to the scene, where he was arrested, police say.
He has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, causing bodily harm, and careless driving, causing bodily harm, police said in a release Tuesday afternoon. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone who may have security or dashcam footage of the area or incident to come forward.
