Windsor police say a man is facing several charges after an incident in a bar on St. Patrick's Day in which he allegedly brandished a firearm in a dispute over his bill.

The Windsor Police Service (WPS) responded to a report of a man armed with a handgun at a bar in the 5200 block of Tecumseh Road East, the force said in a news release.

The patron had argued with an employee over his bill and was escorted out of the establishment, police said.

Once outside, police allege the man brandished a firearm before fleeing the scene.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.

Police launched an investigation and identified a suspect, they said.

Members of the OPP's repeat offender parole enforcement squad arrested him at a residence on Hall Avenue shortly after noon on Tuesday.

The individual faces several firearms charges and several charges related to breaching probation and breaching conditions of release.

Police have not yet located the firearm involved in the incident.
