Roof ripped off car in single-vehicle King Township crash, driver hospitalized

A man sustained life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle collision in the Township of King last Friday, York Regional Police said in a news release Tuesday. 

The driver was alone in the vehicle and cause of collision is unknown, York Regional Police say

A man sustained life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle collision in the Township of King last Friday, York Regional Police said in a news release Tuesday. 

The vehicle was found deep in a forested area with the roof completely ripped out, after officers responded to reports of a black sedan that went off the road near 16th Sideroad and 7th Concession around 7:30 a.m. 

Nobody else was injured, police said. 

The driver was alone in the vehicle and was transported to a trauma centre in Toronto.
