Driver dies after car crashes into east Windsor home

One person has died after a car crashed into a home in the city's east end Thursday morning.

No one else was injured in the incident, police say

One person has died after a car crashed into a home in the city's east end Thursday morning. 

Windsor police say they responded to a report of a car crash just before 8 a.m. Thursday in the 11000 block of Palmetto Street, just south of Tecumseh Road East and Banwell Road. 

"Officers arrived at the scene and learned that a vehicle had veered off the road and crashed into a residence," police said in a statement. "The motorist was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased."

Police say no one else was injured in the crash, however the house was damaged in the incident.
