Man dies after car crashes into tree in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que.

A man died on Saturday morning after the car he was in hit a tree in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que.

At around 3:45 a.m., several calls were made to 911 about a collision involving a vehicle that struck a tree in the residential neighbourhood of Westwood.

According to Montreal police, the incident took place on Spring Garden Street near Fabre Street. The car was going at a high speed and the driver lost control before hitting a tree.

A man — a passenger of the vehicle — was declared dead at the scene.

The driver and another passenger, both 27, were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
