Director reveals first photo of new Ghostbusters cast in costume

Paul Feig, director of the new all-female Ghostbusters film, unveiled the promotional picture on Twitter.

Promotion ramps up as fans converge on San Diego Comic-Con

We've seen the uniforms, the proton packs, and the new Ecto-1 hearse. Now fans finally have their first glimpse at the new, all-female Ghostbusters squad, courtesy of director Paul Feig.

Feig shared an official image with Melissa McCarthy, Kristin Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kat McKinnon suited up and standing in front of the Ecto-1.

Feig tweeted the photo with the hashtag #whoyougonnacall, the Ghostbusters' well-known catch phrase. Earlier, he included #whatyougonnawear with the photo of the uniforms, and #whatyougonnadrive with the photo of the Ecto-1.

Earlier today another cast photo surfaced on the video games forum NeoGaf, supposedly taken on set by a superfan.

The Verge's Chris Plante noted that Kate McKinnon's look strongly resembles Egon Spengler as he appeared in The Real Ghostbusters cartoon. Her blonde pompadour and round-rimmed glasses are a dead giveaway.

The reveal was conveniently timed during the San Diego Comic-Con, a mecca for all things nerdy. Bill Murray, one of the original Ghostbusters, made the rounds promoting his upcoming film Rock the Casbah, interacting with fans in a way that only he can — including signing a fan's forehead.

All we need now is a revival of Minute Maid's Hi-C Ecto Cooler.
