Pierre Kwenders on the problem with SLĀV, the cancelled 'slave song' production

Crowds at the Montreal Jazz Festival have been protesting a new play called SLĀV, which was billed as "a theatrical odyssey based on slave songs." It's performed by a majority-white group of singers and led by a white director, Robert LePage. The Montreal Jazz Festival has now cancelled all remaining performances of the controversial play. Today, musician Pierre Kwenders, one of the people protesting the new play, joins Tom Power.
