Director Debra Granik's 2010 film Winter's Bone received four Oscar nominations and launched the career of actor Jennifer Lawrence. Granik's highly-anticipated follow-up is a film called Leave No Trace. It tells the story of a survivalist father and daughter who live off the grid and are separated from society. Granik talks to Tom Power about why she wanted to tell this story, and what draws her to stories about forgotten places and people in America.
