Colm O'Gorman: Human rights activist leading social change
Colm O'Gorman is the executive director of Amnesty International in Ireland and has been at the forefront of changes in Irish society for three decades.
Colm O'Gorman has been at the vanguard of social change in Ireland. He sued the Catholic Church over sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of priests in the 1980s. He and his partner were the first same-sex couple in Ireland to adopt a child.
O'Gorman continues his passion for human rights as the executive director of Amnesty International in Ireland. After helping lead the campaign to legalize same-sex marriage, now he's turning his sights to refugees and to repealing Ireland's ban on abortion.
Colm O'Gorman was interviewed by Sunday Edition producer Chris Wodskou.
