London motorcyclist dead, vehicle driver injured in west London crash

London police are investigating the cause of a collision Wednesday evening in the city's northwest end that left a motorcyclist dead and a sedan's driver injured.

London police are investigating the cause of a collision Wednesday evening that left a motorcyclist dead and a vehicle's driver injured.

The collision, around 6:50 p.m. ET at the intersection of Hyde Park Road and Fitzwilliam Boulevard, involved the motorcycle and a sedan, police said Thursday.

Few details are known, but police say the male motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. The female driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries.

The identity and age of the deceased were not provided.

Anyone in the area at the time of the collision, and who may have witnessed the collision or captured it on a dash cam or surveillance camera is asked to come forward to the London police's Road Safety Section.
