An Ilderton resident has been identified by police as the victim of London's first fatal motorcycle crash of the year.

Brian Paul Kloth, 49, died Monday after a collision on his bike near Highbury Avenue North at Edgevalley Road, police said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and did not suffer injuries.

Police said Tuesday they're still looking at what went wrong and are asking other drivers or business owners in the area  for video footage.

With the nice weather just starting, police said Kloth was not the first in 2025 to be involved in a motorcycle crash. On April 4, another rider suffered serious injuries in a collision at Southdale Road and Tillmann Drive.

Police said there were five fatal motor vehicle collisions involving motorcycles in 2024.
