Make Cory Care: Mission accomplished! Cory will vote April 19
Cory Alleyne has been the focus of a CBC Information Radio series since mid-March
For the first time in his life, Cory Alleyne intends to cast a vote.
"I definitely will be voting. The hardest part right now is who I'm going to vote for," the 37-year-old lifelong Manitoban said on Tuesday.
"I hear a lot of Manitoba is undecided and right now. Now I'm one of those undecided people where it might be the last minute."
Alleyne has been the focus of a CBC Information Radio series that invited Manitobans to encourage him to cast a ballot in the April 19 provincial election.
In the month that the series has been running, Alleyne has been visited by all major party candidates in his Winnipeg riding of Fort Garry-Riverview. CBC listeners have also reached out to Alleyne through social media and phone calls to share their reasons for voting.

Alleyne said he considered all of the reasons people offered and gave thought to the big issues raised by politicians.
While he doesn't care much about the PST or seeing any of the party leaders' tax returns, Alleyne found himself drawn to the issues of education and health because of his five-month-old son, Max.
"I just want to make sure everything is set for his future," he said.
"Eighteen years ago when I was able to [first] vote, I didn't have a reason. Looking at everything now, I do have a reason, and that reason is Max. He's my trigger that says 'Get off of your butt Cory and make a difference.'"
The exercise in making Cory care has also had an impact on the relationship between Alleyne and his wife, Tara Law, who has put in a ballot during every election she's been eligible to vote in since turning 18.
"We're now having political conversations instead of talking about comic books and video games," Alleyne said, then jokingly added, "but I'm still undecided who I'm going to vote for, so that might turn our relationship into something different, into arguments more."
It's not too late to weigh in with your message about voting or to attempt to convince Alleyne to support a certain candidate.
