A man is recovering in hospital after he was shot in Winnipeg's North end Saturday afternoon.
Police were called to Mountain Avenue and Salter Street around 3:15 p.m., according to a Sunday news release.
They found a 39-year-old man suffering from serious upper body injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance in unstable condition, which was later upgraded to stable.
A witness in the area told CBC they heard several gunshots ring out and the man had been shot while riding his bike.
