Man dies after stabbing in Norway House

A 43-year-old man died in a Manitoba hospital early Sunday morning after he arrived with stab wounds, RCMP say.

A 43-year-old man died in a Manitoba hospital early Sunday morning after he arrived with stab wounds, RCMP say.

Police in Norway House, about 450 kilometres north of Winnipeg, received a call from the local hospital shortly after 6 a.m. on Sunday, reporting that a man had arrived around 1 a.m. with several stab wounds and was pronounced dead at 5:55 a.m., RCMP said.

The man had been stabbed on a nearby roadway and the scene has now been secured, police said. Norway House RCMP, RCMP major crime services and forensic identification services continue to investigate.
