Man in his 80s dead after SUV rollover in Winnipeg parking garage

A man is dead after the SUV he was driving rolled over in a Winnipeg parking garage on Tuesday evening. 

Woman taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries

A man is dead after the SUV he was driving rolled over in a Winnipeg parking garage on Tuesday evening. 

Winnipeg police were called to the garage on Paget Street near Sterling Lyon Parkway, in the city's southwest area, around 7:45 p.m.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service extracted the driver and a woman who was a passenger, both in their 80s, police said in a news release Wednesday. 

The man was taken in critical condition to hospital, where he later died, police said. 

The woman was taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police don't believe the collision was criminal in nature, but the traffic division is investigating.
